We trekked with Nepal Mother House for 24 days in November 2013 around the Manaslu circuit with an extension into the Tsum Valley. Throughout the arrangement of the trek and during the Manaslu Circuit Trek with Tsum Valley itself we received an outstanding service from Nepal Mother House. Karna was always swift to answer our questions prior to our arrival in Nepal and met us at the airport to take us to the accommodation that he had arranged for us. Our trekking permits were organized by Karna and by our excellent guide Kapil which allowed us to explore Kathmandu rather than spending our first day standing in queues. At all times during the trek, we were looked after by our guide Kapil who quietly ensured everything (food, accommodation, buses to and from the trek, etc) went to plan. Kapil's knowledge of the area surpassed that of any guidebook and was invaluable when making changes to our itinerary during the trek, allowing us to maintain flexibility and get the very most out of our trip. It was no coincidence that many of the other guides we met during our trek sought his advice! We were also pleased to find that both Kapil and our porter Dinesh were suitably equipped for the trek as this was something we had stressed prior to confirming our booking. They were both good company and hard working. We had an amazing trip which was made possible by Nepal Mother House who delivered on everything they said they would and at a very reasonable price. We would thoroughly recommend this agency.

Our trek was the Tamang Heritage Trail and Langtang. The thing I really appreciated was that in setting this up with Karna via email he was extremely prompt at getting back to me and always followed up. We had complete flexibility in working with the guide to determine the route and could vary it as served our needs. Karna met personally with us both before the trek, to make sure we were all clear, and followed up with us after the trek was over. The one thing I raised with Karna as he did ask for nearly all of the costs to be paid in advance which was a bit disconcerting given we had had only email contact. But it all turned out well as he both showed up and provided all the services he had promised. He is a very reliable and honest guiding/trekking service. No surprises.

Nepal Mother House provided a brilliant service and support for our trek around the Manaslu circuit and exploring the Tsum Valley in October. Karna and our guide Bibek's understanding and knowledge of the area meant that we could be flexible with planning to take into account weather and availability but we were always confident that we would have somewhere to sleep and good food and warm hospitality. Beebek proved himself a very good cook as well as supportive in our walking (sometimes hard at altitude) and always full of information about the area and people. Both our porters, Prashek and Dinesh were also supportive, hard-working, and great fun to be with. The three of us (myself, daughter Jess and friend Danielle) felt quite bereft when we parted at Besisahar to travel to Pokhara. would definitely recommend the team and the agency.

Had a blast in Nepal, when traveling with NMH treks. The weather wasn't so good in June but had a few good clear days on the Gokyo Lakes Trek, and Kapi went to the peaks a few times ahead of me to make sure there was a view, so I didn't have to climb it and be disappointed.

At the Gokyo peak, I had altitude sickness and had to be helicopter lifted back to Kathmandu. Karna accompanied me for a night in the hospital. That by far is the most a tour company has ever gone, that I have encountered. So thank you so much! I highly recommend NMH treks for their service!

We used Nepal Mother House for the Everest Base Camp trek in May and I could not have asked for a better experience. Our guide Kapil was excellent and looked after us very well, along with speaking great English. All aspects of the trek were taken care of including flights to and from Lukla, the porter who was strong, kind, and friendly, accommodation at each lodge, and all meals breakfast lunch and dinner each day. In the months leading up to the trek, Karna replied and answered all of our inquiries and questions through email and also looked after us if we needed anything from lending us a Nepalese mobile phone to showing us around Thamel and bargaining for us during our shopping trips. Highly recommend going with this trekking company :)

We used Nepal Mother House for a 21-day March trip around Mt. Manasalu and up into Tsum valley. Karna was very quick and thorough in his responses to queries in advance of the trip. Bibek our guide and Sitaram our porter were both great fun to spend 21 days with and always very helpful. Bibek was extremely knowledgeable; he could be relied upon to know the height and name of every peak and when other guides were unsure whether certain teahouses and towns would be open (due to snowy weather) he always seemed to have inside knowledge on where to find the best open place! Great trip, excellent value, and a couldn't recommend it more highly.
