Gokyo Trek is another trekking destination for adventure seekers in the Khumbu Region. The trekkers, who are eager to explore a wide range of mountains scenery, pure nature beauties, and Sherpa Unique culture must visit the Gokyo Valley trek. This is a great opportunity for an adventure experience with relies on wildlife and verities of vegetation is seen most of the trail.

The Gokyo Trekking starts from Lukla after a 30-minute scenic mountain flight from Kathmandu, then the trail following Dudh Koshi river valley towards Namche bazaar, where a bunch of people is busy buying goods every during every Saturday market. The trail goes through the Khumjung village and towards the sleepy village of Phortse Tenga, then Dole, Machhermo and finally reaching our ultimate destination at Gokyo. The tiny settlement of Gokyo lies on the banks of the third lake at an elevation of 4,750 meters in a series of small turquoise mountain lakes. While ascending Gokyo Peak (5,360m), you have spectacular mountain scenery, the largest glacier in Nepal “Naozumpa” and over 8,000m peaks (Cho Oyu, Everest, Lhotse, and Makalu) are the most significant. You can explore beautiful fifth lakes near Cho Oyu Base camp, where you have only one chance to see foot to head scenery of ‘Mt. Everest’. Again passing through Sherpa villages and reviewing mountain scenery you will back to Lukla where a flight back to Katmandu awaits you. Gokyo Everest Trek is an experience with a sense of achievement and a little remorse, even though it is sufficient for you for your entire life experience.

The Gokyo Valley is perhaps the most spectacular trekking route in the Khumbu region and those who visit Everest Base Camp suggest the view from Gokyo Peak offers the best panoramic view on the whole trip. The trail to Gokyo Trek has a network of small lodges /tea houses with huge improvements in food and accommodation facilities. March to May and September to November are the best seasons for the Gokyo Everest Trekking. A local agency Nepal Mother House Treks is organizing your Gokyo Lake Trek according to your desire and holiday schedule.
