The most popular Round Annapurna Trek was opened for the trekkers in 1997. The trek starts from the lowlands lush fields, forests, and alpine up through the mountains into the arid Trans-Himalayan, on the edge of the Tibetan Plateau. Finally, it heads back again through forests of rhododendron, magnolia, and juniper which spray out their floral perfume on your trail during the blooming season. Expert trekkers still consider this 250 km circuit as the ultimate long-distance trek in Nepal, even though there is quite high trekking traffic nowadays

While walking on the Round Annapurna trek you will go through the adventures Pass, glaciers, ice falls, the world's deepest valley, pine forests, rice terrace, alpine tundra vegetation, remote villages, ancient monasteries, and other religious holy sites. The Round Annapurna Trek begins from Chame (2670m) after driving from Kathmandu and goes to the highest point the Thorung La  La Pass elevation of 5,416 meters, which makes for challenging and wonderful mountains scenery, culturally rich ethnic groups in different climate zones. Before the pass, the trail goes through the Marsyandi riverside and continues north into the wooded Manang Valley via Chamje, Pisang, Ngwal, and Braga to the Thorung La Pass. While acclimatization day in Manang, you will visit the sacred Milarepa Cave (11th century -3 Km from Braga), Icelake, Gangapurna Lake, and other monasteries in the town.

The trail steeply descends to the Hindu and Buddhist shrines at Muktinath. Then, century-old Jhong Village to explore the ancient fort, the continue to the Kagbani, Jomsom, Thini taking alternatively developed trekking trail after the road on the classical trail and get infamous apple orchid hub Marpha. Again the trail goes left side of the holy Kaligandaki river bank to the Chhairo village, Chimang then gets in Khokhethanti and Kalopani. Hence, walk along the Kaligandaki River bank; most provability to find Shaligram; the incarnation of the Lord Vishnu. Here is also you can walk through the trekking trail to the Kopchepani and then Tatopani (natural Hot Spring) via beautiful Narchyang /Lek Village. During this day, you will walk through the World’s deepest gorge at Dana (1440m); between two gigantic mountains Annapurna I (8,091m) and Dhaulagiri (8,167m) making more than 6,000 meters deep. After enjoying the hot spring then, you will ascend to the Paudwar village before getting to the most popular viewpoint Khopra Danda. This lodge is run by the community, and the revenue from the lodge goes to the community. Explore the holy Khayar Lake, then you will visit the most popular viewpoint Poon Hill (3,210m), and the next day drives back to Pokhara from Naange Thantti.

Indeed, the Annapurna Round Trip is rich in geological and cultural diversity and one visit won’t be enough for most adventure lovers. For the Round Annapurna trekking, you won’t need any special experience of climbing beyond normal hiking. While trekking here you may add your journey to the world’s highest lake, Tilicho Lake, situated at 4,919 meters above sea level. Annapurna Round Trek is very less possible to get high altitude sickness but still, we recommend acclimatization one day in Manang, excursion around Manang valley for your safe journey. You must take time initially, to get used to the elevation above 2,000 m. This trek is one of the best panoramic view trekking, where you can explore Lamjung Himal, Manaslu, Pisang peak, Gangapurna Himal, Tilicho Peak, Annapurna Himal range, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Tukuche Peak, and many more mountains sceneries.

There is good Trekkers lodge (Teahouse) facilities Managed by Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) and eco-aware local people.
