This trip starts from Jiri after 7 to 8 hours of scenic driving from Kathmandu. Now a day you can drive to Bhandar from Kathmandu, which makes a few days shorter your trek. Then following scattered hillside settlements of Sholukhumbu and then through Lamjura La Pass (3530m), Traksindo La Pas (3071m), and Khari La Pass (2840m) to the Khumbu region to the Mt Everest Base Camp via Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Khunde, Khumjung. You have wonderful Himalayan scenery including the Mt. Everest (8848m), Mt. Lhotse (8516m), Mt. Nuptse (7855m), Pumori (7145m), Amadablam (6856m), Thamserku ( 6723m), Kantega (6779m), Kusum Khangaru (6367m), Kwangde (6187m) Gauri Shankar Himal (7145m), Number Himal (6988m), Island peak (6179m), etc and icefall, glacier lake, waterfall natural beauties are fascinated the trekkers. The view is best from Kalapather (5,550m) and Everest Base Camp is worth able for Glacier Lake and icefall.
