Manaslu Trek

The world's 8th highest mountain Manaslu (8,163m) is literally known as Human God or God of the Human’s Felling. Manaslu Trekking is located in “Gorkha districts”, the mid-western part of Nepal. Now a day’s Lower Manaslu Trekking is also open as a homestay concept, it starts from Gorkha Bazaar and goes through the most popular Gurung village Barpak and Larpak. This is home to Gaje Ghale, who was a Victoria Cross medalist during the Second World War.

Some people would do Ultimate Manaslu Trip as well, about 40 days visit Tsum valley then cross via Larkya La pass (5,160m) and then visit Nar -Phu Valley via Kangla pass (5,300m) then follow the Annapurna Circuit trail. It is also possible to include the Rupinala pass on the Manaslu circuit trek itinerary. For the restricted area, Manaslu Trek needs a special permit with a minimum of two people in a group, this trip used to operate mostly on a camping basis but now day’s it is possible to do simple Teahouse trekking (stay in the lodge).
